Welcome to Holywell-cum-Needingworth Bowls Club
A friendly village club for bowlers of all ages and abilities.
Set in the heart of Needingworth near St Ives, Cambridgeshire, our club provides a relaxed and well-organised setting for bowlers of all ages and abilities. Members enjoy a full playing and social calendar, with regular roll-ups, league fixtures and friendly matches throughout the summer season.
2026 marks our 40th anniversary — four decades of bowls, friendship and community spirit in the village. It’s a milestone we’re proud of, and a reminder of the enthusiasm and dedication that keep the club thriving.
Over the years, the club has built an impressive record in county and league competitions. Recent highlights include notable successes in the Over-60s leagues, with Division 2 winners earning promotion to Division 1, and our men’s team also securing promotion in 2025. Our Cambridge & District League teams have excelled too — claiming the Division 3 title in 2023, then going on to win the Champion of Champions trophy. Several members have represented Huntingdonshire at county level and achieved further success at regional and national events. In 2025, some of our lady members were part of the county side that lifted the Silver Vase Trophy at Skegness, while others have continued to collect honours across the county.

Looking ahead, our Junior Section continues to grow, with young players developing their skills and progressing to higher levels of competition.
